In the field of tourism geology, a detailed classification and description of tourist landscapes in limestone karst landforms have been made, while the classification and description of tourist landscapes in granite landforms are insufficient. Therefore, the tourist landscapes in granite landforms are classified as follows.
Stone eggs and their masonry shapes
The stone eggs formed by the spherical weathering of granite, although nearly spherical, have various shapes and are distributed in mountain tops and streams, giving people a wide space for imagination. They have become important landscapes and sources of myths and legends in tourist areas. For example, the Monkey View Sea at the top of Mount Huangshan Mountain, the Stone for Saving Mothers at the top of the West Peak of Huashan Mountain, the Camel Stone, the Divine Turtle Stone, the Mandarin Duck Stone, the Sunlight Rock in Xiamen, and the Luhuitou Stone in Hainan Island. The shape of the stone egg base is also granite
The important landscapes of landscape tourism scenic spots, such as the rooster on the top of Jigong Mountain, the drunken Bajie and Double Monkey Watching the Moon on Zhayi Mountain, and the Sea Lake God on Pingtan Island.
Stone pillars, isolated peaks, and peak forests
When the granite is exposed to the ground and rising strongly, the flowing water cuts down along the vertical joint fissures to form stone pillars or isolated peaks, which cluster into a peak forest, such as the wonderful pen flowers in Mount Huangshan Mountain. The granite peak forest appears extremely majestic and spectacular. For example, Mount Huangshan has a cutting depth of 500-1000 meters, and there are more than 70 peaks with a height of more than 1000 meters. Huashan is a situation of five peaks facing each other in the east, west, north, south, and center. In addition, the Tianzhu Peak of Tianzhu Mountain and the Guanpu Peak of Jiuhua Mountain are also located
It is a very typical peak forest landform.
Cliffs and steep cliffs
When there are fault structures developed in or around the granite body, the rock fragmentation in the fault zone weakens the weathering resistance, or the uplift of the fault causes cliffs and cliffs to form around or inside the granite body. In addition, flowing water along vertical joints can also create steep cliffs with small elevation differences. Cliffs and steep cliffs add a delicate beauty to granite landforms. This is most evident in Huashan. The danger of Mount Huashan, named Guanshan Mountain, is due to the fact that it is surrounded by cliffs on all sides. From the east peak along the long peak to the Shilou peak, a huge cliff is formed, known as the "Immortal Palm of Mount Huashan".
Thin strip of sky
When the flowing water rushes down along the nearly vertical shear cracks in the granite body, it forms nearly vertical gullies. The gullies become deeper and deeper, forming two walls sandwiching each other. Looking up, the blue sky looks like a straight line, which is called a straight line of sky. Granite mountains in China, such as Mount Huangshan, Mount Jiuhua, Mount Huashan, Mount Taimu, Mount Tianzhu, Mount Zhaya, Mount Qianshan and Mount Jiangjun on Pingtan Island, all have a line of sky view.
Caves and grottoes
Granite is a insoluble rock, therefore it cannot form the common karst caves in limestone areas. But rainwater washes away along the fractures within the granite body, causing the collapse of the overlying rock blocks and forming irregular rock caves. In addition, in areas where stone egg landforms are developed, the gaps between stone eggs can also form caves. Such as Shuilian Cave, Lianhua Cave and Aoyu Cave in Mount Huangshan Mountain, Baiyun Cave and Mingxia Cave in Laoshan Mountain, Xuanji Cave in Taimu Mountain, Zhuming Cave in Luofu Mountain and Wanren Cave in Zhaya Mountain
Springs, hot springs, mineral springs
Since ancient times, many famous mountains have gathered springs, which are important tourist attractions in granite mountainous areas. Famous hot springs include Laoshan mineral spring, Mount Huangshan hot spring and Lishan hot spring. Granite generally contains very small amounts of radioactive elements. Therefore, the spring water flowing out of granite generally contains a small amount of radioactive radon gas that is beneficial to the human body. These springs can be used for drinking and bathing, and are not only important tourism resources, but also valuable water resources.
waterfall
The granite landforms in our country mostly appear in the eastern regions with abundant rainfall, where mountains are high and water is high. Therefore, in mountainous areas with developed or relatively developed granite peak forest landforms, waterfalls generally appear. For example, the herringbone waterfall, Baizhang Spring and Jiulong Waterfall in Mount Huangshan Mountain, the Indigo Waterfall and Longtan Waterfall in Laoshan Mountain, the Longbin Waterfall and Jiulong Memorial Waterfall in Taimu Mountain, the Taoya Waterfall, Zhimian Waterfall and Longchi Waterfall in Jiuhua Mountain, the Baili Waterfall, Baishuimen Waterfall and Huanglong Cave Waterfall in Luofu Mountain, etc.
